The important word in the patch note is “scripted.” The fix concerns a specific event’s loot table. It does not say that any random Dogtown airdrop now gives the same vest or identify one permanent map coordinate.
Find the active airdrop.
Use the in-game marker for the actual drop location; the image below is only a regional reference.
Dogtown airdrop reference
The 2.3 notes confirm a fixed drop bug, not a single reproducible GPS coordinate. Airdrop events change location. Watch for the active Dogtown airdrop marker rather than treating this as an exact pin.
Do this in order.
A direct walkthrough without unnecessary detours.
Make sure your build is updated.
Patch 2.3 contains the vest drop fix.
Enter Dogtown and watch for an airdrop.
The drop can be tied to an event, so avoid relying on a static map picture.
Loot the correct scripted crate.
Check the reward inventory after opening the event-specific supply drop.
Recheck your inventory and outfit screen.
Some clothing may appear in a wardrobe/transmog context rather than as a different combat-stat item.
If you already looted it, check an earlier save.
Past reward states can be different from a fresh run through the corrected event.
Build the BARGHEST look.
Pair the vest visually with muted black or olive tactical-style clothing, sturdy boots and a matching helmet obtained through normal in-game clothing rewards. This is a style recommendation, not a guarantee that every guard drops a matching set.
Quick questions.
Is the vest in every airdrop?
No. The official note concerns one scripted airdrop.
What patch fixed its missing drop?
Update 2.3.
Is there an official permanent GPS pin?
Not in the published patch note. Use your live airdrop marker.
