01 / First check

Use the right mode and method

Control bindings differ by platform and custom settings. Check the in-game controls menu for throttle, pitch, roll, yaw, landing gear, and braking.

PC wordOpen the cheat console with ~ in Story Mode, type the word, and press Enter.

Use them without guesswork

  1. Spawn or find a training plane

    BARNSTORM and FLYSPRAY provide two Story Mode options on a clear airfield.

  2. Take off gradually

    Build speed on the runway, then ease the nose up; over-rotating can stall or scrape the tail.

  3. Make wide turns

    Bank gently, keep altitude with pitch, and avoid hard corrections near buildings.

  4. Land on a long approach

    Reduce speed, level wings, lower landing gear if applicable, and brake after touchdown.

Important: There is no built-in money or yacht cheat. Story Mode cheat codes do not work in GTA Online. Reload a clean save when you want normal achievements and physics.
