Quick answer
Start with Studio’s built-in templates or open-source projects whose license and scripts you can inspect. “Copy and paste any game” claims can hide malicious scripts or violate a creator’s rights.
Three practical starting points
| Type | Start here | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Obby | Studio New → Obby template | Checkpoints and obstacle layout. |
| FPS | Creator Store → search open-source FPS framework | Read license, dependencies and scripts. |
| Tycoon | Creator Store → search licensed tycoon template | Inspect purchase logic and datastore code. |
Open an uncopylocked place
- Find an experience explicitly marked uncopylocked by its creator.
- Open its Roblox page and select Edit/Open in Studio if available.
- Read scripts, external modules and asset licenses before publishing.
- Save a local copy and test purchases, remote events and persistence.
Security check
Avoid free models that require a secret installer or off-platform executable. Search imported scripts for unexpected HTTP requests, require calls and admin commands.
