Feline gear is designed for fast-attack players. Most of the time the hard part is finding the right merchant map, not the diagrams themselves. Use the interactive tier selector to see which map or location to visit first.
Start the basic Cat School hunt by finding a Feline diagram (the armor is in the Temple Isle cave under Novigrad). Buy Adalbert Kermith’s maps: first from the Blackbough merchant, second from the Blackbough blacksmith, third from the Crow’s Perch quartermaster and fourth from the Lindenvale blacksmith. Grandmaster comes from Lafargue in Toussaint.

Read the corresponding treasure map or quest note to add markers. Some diagrams can be picked up without the map, but finding every piece is easier with the quest active.
Before leaving a one-time quest area, inspect the relevant chest and document.
Do it in this order
Collect the base diagrams first
Explore the Temple Isle cavern below Novigrad for the armor diagrams and follow the Cat School hunt to locate the steel and silver sword diagrams.
Buy both Enhanced maps
Visit Blackbough in Velen. The merchant sells the first Kermith map; the blacksmith sells the second. Reading both opens the two enhanced upgrade quests.
Unlock Superior with the third map
Visit the Crow’s Perch quartermaster near the armorer area and read Kermith’s third map to highlight the Superior targets.
Unlock Mastercrafted with the fourth map
Buy the fourth Kermith map from the Lindenvale blacksmith and follow its Skellige clues.
Finish at Lafargue in Toussaint
Grandmaster diagrams are part of Blood and Wine and use a separate quest initiated by Lafargue in Beauclair; retain earlier crafted pieces to upgrade normally.

Do I need to purchase the maps to loot diagrams?
