Griffin is the accessible early Witcher set for Sign-focused builds. Its base armor is in Dragonslayer’s Grotto, while the steel and silver sword diagrams are in separate Velen ruins.
Start at Hindhold (steel sword), Lornruk lighthouse (silver sword) and Dragonslayer’s Grotto (armor). For upgrades, look for Edwin Greloff’s maps at Midcopse and later Novigrad merchants. Grandmaster Griffin requires Blood and Wine and Lafargue in Beauclair.

Read the corresponding treasure map or quest note to add markers. Some diagrams can be picked up without the map, but finding every piece is easier with the quest active.
Before leaving a one-time quest area, inspect the relevant chest and document.
Do it in this order
Get the two basic sword diagrams
Search the Hindhold watchtower for the steel sword diagram. At Lornruk, explore the lighthouse access route for the silver sword diagram.
Enter Dragonslayer’s Grotto for armor
Track the Griffin School quest to the cave in Velen. Follow the cave passage, deal with threats appropriate to your level, and find the armor chest at the quest marker.
Avoid the roaming high-level Leshen
If the Leshen appears near the cave, do not chase it. Reorient toward the scavenger objective, and return later for that separate encounter.
Read the first two Greloff maps
Check the merchant or armorer stock around Midcopse; the first two maps trigger the two Enhanced scavenger quests.
Find the later maps and Grandmaster hunt
Superior and Mastercrafted upgrades require later Greloff maps; Grandmaster is a separate Blood and Wine stage initiated by Lafargue.
